TrustID Among the First Providers Certified Against the New UK Digital Verification Services Trust Framework v1.0
TrustID has reached an important milestone in the evolution of digital identity in the UK, becoming one of the first Digital Verification Service providers certified against version 1.0 of the UK Digital Verification Services Trust Framework.
The TrustID Identity Verification Service has now been published on the UK Government’s Register of Digital Identity and Attribute Services, following completion of our certification against the new UK Digital Verification Services (DVS) Trust Framework v1.0. You can see our listing here.
Version 1.0 is the first revised statutory trust framework published under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 and establishes the latest requirements that certified digital verification services must meet.
For TrustID, this represents another significant step in demonstrating the security, reliability and governance of the identity verification services our customers rely on.
Among the first to achieve v1.0 certification
TrustID is proud to be among the first DVS providers to achieve certification against the v1.0 framework. Achieving certification requires independent assessment against the framework’s requirements covering areas including information security, privacy, fraud management, identity verification, accessibility, operational governance and the management of digital identity data.
The new framework builds on previous versions while strengthening the standards expected of organisations providing trusted digital verification services across the UK.
For our customers, our early transition to v1.0 provides continued assurance that TrustID is keeping pace with the evolving regulatory and technical standards underpinning the UK’s digital identity ecosystem.
TrustID authorised to use the new UK CertifID Trust Mark
As part of this milestone, TrustID has also been issued its UK CertifID Trust Mark, with unique Trust Mark number. Its purpose is to provide businesses and individuals with a recognisable indication that a digital verification service meets the applicable government trust framework requirements and is subject to the relevant oversight arrangements.
What does this mean for TrustID customers?
For organisations using TrustID, this milestone provides additional independent assurance that our registered Identity Verification Service has been assessed against the latest UK requirements for digital verification services.
It means customers can continue to use TrustID with confidence that our certified service operates within an established government framework designed to promote security, privacy, reliability, transparency, governance and oversight.
The framework is intended to help organisations and individuals have greater confidence in the digital verification services they choose to use.
